Showcase Navigation Tutorial for PowerPoint 2007

Description

Lisa Marasco is an IBCLC-certified lactation consultant based in the U.S. who specializes in nutrition issues relevant to mothers breastfeeding. Her original presentation contained 98 slides in traditional linear format—obviously an enormous amount of information. Notice, however, her slides tend to form their own smaller groups automatically within the larger structure. This situation is very common when shows hold more than about 30 slides. As such, normally we would advise Lisa to divide her large show into numerous smaller shows, and then link those files together using In-line navigation, Checkerboard navigation, or any other style that works well with external shows.

In this case, we know Lisa is a prolific conference speaker, and conference venues are notorious for being stuck in the Stone Age when it comes to creative presentation. They often don't know how to handle speakers who present using multiple shows. Therefore Lisa opted to keep the entire show intact, yet add internal Custom Shows to formally organize the natural groupings. The resulting switchboard and show is a hybrid version of Variation #6.
