Linking the Switchboard to the Content Slides

Moving around within a Showcase presentation is a back-and-forth process. The presenter clicks a link on the switchboard to view content, and then clicks that content to return to the switchboard. On this page, we'll create the outgoing switchboard links.

  • Click Slide 1's thumbnail to select the switchboard slide.
  • Now move over to the slide pane and right-click the George Bush picture (thumbnail) and select Hyperlink from the menu options. The Insert Hyperlink dialog box appears.

  • Under the Link to: heading, select Place in This Document.
  • Under Slide Titles, double-click Slide 2. The Insert Hyperlink dialog box disappears and you have successfully linked the Bush image to the slide containing his quote.
  • Repeat this process for the remaining pictures (i.e., Link the Kerry picture to Slide 3, and so forth).
