Showcase navigation is easy to create and is especially useful for categorical groupings of visual content such as pictures, graphs, tables, and so forth. The act of navigating in this case is a back-and-forth process. The presenter clicks one of the thumbnails on the switchboard (random access) to open that particular content slide. He or she then clicks the content slide itself to return to the switchboard. As might be expected, there are numerous design variations possible, and, therefore, Showcase navigation can have many different appearances.
