Relational Presentation techniques push PowerPoint to its limits and beyond, causing some people to wander if maybe they are not quite ready for this level of digital communication. This is a legitimate concern. Having a basic understanding of the software, as well as experience using it in live speaking situations, is a good idea.
If you are brand new to presentation software, consider completing the Level 1 sessions that is part of Aspire's workshop offerings. Alternatively, you may wish to take a community college course, read a book on PowerPoint, or read the software's help files to become familiar with the basics. PowerPoint is a very easy software to learn but its simplicity can be deceptive. You'll be able to move faster with relational methods if you are comfortable first with all aspects of standard linear delivery.
To gauge what you should know about PowerPoint in advance, read through the objectives for Level 1 and make sure you are comfortable with these areas.
