Live Relational Presentation workshops cover the same content offered in the self-study workshops, with the added benefit of being able to interact directly with an instructor. Learners are guided through textbook content and then complete hands-on exercises on the spot, while watching step-by-step instructions.
We use GoToMeeting for screen sharing and Skype for VoIP audio. Regardless of your physical location in the world, you will be able to watch the instructor's computer monitor while working inside your own PowerPoint window. If necessary, permission can be granted for the instructor to take control of your computer remotely, allowing him or her to directly demonstrate techniques on your computer. And you can easily display content appearing on your monitor to other attendees. High speed internet is mandatory for best results.
Class sizes are small, being limited to about 10 individuals including the instructor. Sessions typically occur for six months out of the year, from January through June. If for some reason you cannot attend a specific session when scheduled, that's ok. Live workshop registrants also receive complimentary access to the self-study video sessions. So it's not a problem to complete the missed material at your leisure. Also, session attendance can be spread over time to allow more scheduling flexibility. Another major advantage of signing up for live training sessions is the option of attending additional practiceS sessions for design and delivery. As your development proceeds, you can even gain experience using your interactive materials while presenting online to fellow workshop attendees.
Live sessions are offered in PowerPoint 2007 format only and use the Full 2007 Textbook for official course content. To explore actual topics covered during these sessions, see the Workshop Levels area.
