Is an e-learning version of workshops available? Yes. All workshop sessions now are available in streaming video format, both for PowerPoint 2003 and PowerPoint 2007. We recognize that many people are unable to attend scheduled, live workshop sessions because of work conflicts or time zone differences. The video sessions, in this case, are both convenient and effective. Back to Top
Do you still do onsite workshops that are open to the general public? Almost all Aspire training these days is accomplished via Web-based sessions or as an arranged private event. However, we still do occasional public events onsite, usually at the request of a group of individuals in the location where the workshop will occur. Back to Top
How can I be certified as a Relational Presentation trainer? The first step is to complete all three Relational Presentation Workshop Levels, along with the associated performance-based certification process. Secondly, you must gain experience using the techniques in actual presentation environments. Finally, you complete a mentoring program that gradually takes over training responsibilities during workshop sessions. This mentoring component can occur during onsite training, or as part of online sessions. Contact an Aspire representative for more details. Occasionally we add a new trainer to Aspire’s ranks as well. Trainers-in-training are classified as trainer associates. Once certified, they are called full trainers. Back to Top
Does the textbook teach me everything I need to know about the process? Yes. The full course textbook has been carefully written to feature all aspects of relational theory, design, and delivery. By working through this single book, you will explore ten years of experience with visually interactive methods, condensed into a step-by-step, hands-on guide. If you enjoy self-study learning, the book is all you need to become a fully developed relational designer and presenter. Back to Top
Is there a certification process associated with the workshop sessions? Yes. A basic certificate of completion is given automatically for each Workshop Level (1 through 3) completed. We highly recommend attendees also pursue the optional performance-based certification standards. To meet the requirements of this higher certification process, you must complete all sessions within a respective level, and then demonstrate a thorough understanding of the material covered. Understanding is measured with assessment rubrics. Attendees complete assignments that gauge whether or not they can successfully transfer the lessons learned to real-world design and delivery situations. In other words, we want to make sure you can apply the concepts to your own presentation materials. The assessments also provide feedback on areas of strength and offer recommendations for improvement. Back to Top
Do I need high-speed Internet for your live online training? Yes. You might be able to get by with dial-up but your experience likely will be frustrating. We use GoToMeeting for screen display and Skype for audio. In both cases your quality will be much better and your display will be real-time if you have hi-speed Internet. Back to Top
