The Seven Phases of a Project
Phase 4: Platform Building Back Forward

Relational Presentation Project Seven Phases Building

Phase 4—Content Creation and Network Construction: It's a natural human tendency, when building a presentation network, to jump right in and begin linking together slide shows at the beginning. Notice, however, that no actual building has occurred up to this point. Only in Phase 4 does construction of the network start.

There's a reason for this. Changing your mind during the analysis and organizational activities is expected and is easily accommodated. Changing your mind later, after the network is built, requires more work—sometimes a lot more work. Experiment and reconfigure your materials in early phases to save time and resources in later phases.

Another important part of Phase 4 is prioritization. The full network structure, depending on its scope and the availability of resources, may take weeks, months, or even years to build. Choose which branches of content are needed right away and focus on those elements first.
